Once installed, it updates itself whenever we publish a new version.

Before you install

The installers are not yet signed with a Microsoft or Apple certificate, so the first time your system asks you to confirm. It is one extra step, not a problem, and it only happens once.

Windows: SmartScreen

  1. When you open the installer you will see “Windows protected your PC”.
  2. Click “More info”.
  3. Choose “Run anyway”.

macOS: Privacy & Security

  1. Open SALOMON once; macOS will say it cannot verify the app.
  2. Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security.
  3. Scroll down to the SALOMON notice and click “Open Anyway”.

On macOS 15 or later, right-click → Open is no longer enough.

Linux: AppImage

  1. Make it executable: chmod +x SALOMON*.AppImage
  2. Open it with a double click or from the terminal.

With .deb or .rpm there is nothing to do: install with your package manager.
